Ull - Ullr in Old Norse - (which means "to graduate in the sense of the glory") is, in Nordic mythology, a god ase, son of Sif, and adopted by Thor.
He is the god of hunting, winter and bow. His particular shield was used by warriors to protect themselves. He could also sail on the water with his shield.
Ull married Skadi, giant of the cold and the mountain. Skadi is the old woman of Njord. The warrior hunter Ull lives in Ẏdalir (valley of the yews).
